In linkoping, not every second is super exciting or a kodak moment. The worse times are the night times. When its night here, your family in Singapore is asleep, your friends are asleep too and i feel alone. I hear foreign tongues below my block. Some whispering, some not. I have the comfortable glow of my laptop, yet i feel uneasy. My room is littered with things i know, my bedsheet from Singapore, my animal pillowcase and my black backpack. These things serve as a source of comfort as they bring familiarity, but placed in a foreign room sometimes the reminder that i am far away from home is all too real. I hear the dishes being moved outside my room, or the footsteps against the lacquered wooden floor. It only reminds me of how little friends i have here. Its easy to talk to anyone, but there is no closeness. Computer games serve as an escape, something that i know. Its a good way to kill the time here at night. Perhaps its the darkness, the shadows the moon brings that makes everything familiar in the day so alien. Alien. I am an alien here now. I am proud of my country but here, i struggle. Signs i cannot understand, words i cannot decipher. Linguist. An irony.
Tomorrow there is class, yet i feel no sense of excitement. History of European Identity, sounds dead boring but yet i harbor this hope to discover something amazing. This hope, i cling on to it to convince myself its worth it. Hope, you might be just a train of thought but you pull me up.

Linkoping airshow + HELICOPTER RIDE+ FOOD CARNIVAL AGAIN OMG
Its my first weekend in Linkoping!! The previous two weekends i was in stockholm. Today Jenzi, JH, Stacy and I decided to cycle to the airshow at linkoping airport in hope to skydive. Though i tried to book online they said it was fully booked and asked me to come down to book but alas, when we reached there were still no slots left so we could not sky dive today :( But we had the consolation prize, a helicopter ride! The helicopter ride is quite expensive, 50sgd for 5 minutes of flight time but it was TOTALLY AWESOME!! It feels like as stable as a plane but when it tilts boy can you feel like you are going to fall out of your seat. The copter flies really fast into the sky unlike a plane so the uplift force was also something different from a plane, the plane's uplift is much stronger.
I have this feeling that the auntie picks all these by herself and damn its like really sweet esp the cherries
