Veronika, the leap of faith

This entry is not about the things that happened today but rather on the very first day Stacy and I hit linkoping. Due to my retardedness i booked a flight that reached Linkoping at 4.30pm only to realise later that the school office closes at 4.30pm and we cannot collect our keys to the hostel. But thankfully i found veronika who posted a notice if anyone needed transport around linkoping. I emailed her and asked if she could collect our hostel keys and also fetch us from the airport. Ok this might not sound like a biggie but a number of things that could go wrong didnt.
1) Veronika could turn out to be a psycho killer who would rob us and dump our bodies in the woods
2) Veronika could not turn up
3) Veronika could collect our keys and lease it out to other students or go duplicate our keys and come rob us when we are not around
4) Veronika could be part of a swedish mafia organisation who preys on exchange students

It didnt help that Veronika came in this red Volvo which was kinda old and had the trunk which looked like it could fit both stacy and my dead bodies. But thank God it was all alright and Veronika didnt do any of the above nasty things to us. She was really friendly and even helped us get to ikea to get our pillows and blanket. For the whole day's journey, she only asked for 250kr which is like 50 sgd. Comparing this to a taxi which would have cost 60 bucks for 15minutes ride, we got a real good deal! So for people who have yet to go on exchange or who are going to exchange, im not advising you to keep taking leaps of faith like this but sometimes when you think there is no solution, there actually is and remember to trust God!

This is linkoping airport, which only has one conveyor belt and one runway, kinda like budget terminal in singapore before it got shut down. I still remember there was a naming contest for the budget terminal and the winning entry was "budget terminal". Geez who knew
I am not sure if you can see the faint outline of the words linkoping airport on the roof.
There are no like malls or anything nearby so if veronika didnt come, we are most prob screwed
I am sorry this is not veronika's car, this is a taxi.
This really peculiar store selling Gods?
their airport also houses some of the personal planes. Damn cool yo likka james bond
Okay i was very bored so i took alot of photos of the carpark
As you can see the taxi charges are quite expensive. 1 sgd is 5kr so you do the math and you would know its damn bloody expensive to get a taxi here.
This is veronika, just incase she turned out to be a psychopath the police would find this image and arrest her like in CSI Miami
Theres pretty much nothing around linkoping as you can see, just lotsa trees

O veronika told me this was my room which turned out to be stacy's room. So yes you are looking at stacy's room now. Damnit veronika, still grateful though

Yuppo, so advice for all exchange students out there. Go to the school's notice board and google translate the hell out of the notices there to find this kinda lobang. Know what the risk is and if you can handle it than just go for it!
